Draco Title Cards

Have been thinking about intro credits for Draco and am loving the homeage to classic cinema and cartoons. In keeping with this idea we're going with simple classic title cards, here's the classic ordering of the cards:

At the end of the post there is also the start title card I did for Draco, outline on Draco may need to be redone to let it >POP<. Between each card there is a simple fade and the ragtime music will go perfectly to give the overall impression of revisiting the classic cartoon era.

Getting to Know You

Spent the last couple of hours drilling out some thumbnails that capture the emotions of Draco & Draak. Am going to spend at least one page exploring only the emotions of fear and terror given that they are the emotions that the characters will use most in the film.

After the facial study of fear and terror, I'm going to work on drawing the facial movements required for Draco's sneeze sequence.

Height Comparison Chart

Height Comparison Chart- important to get an idea of the characters' heights in relation to one another. Draak being the older sibling is half a head taller that Draco and the Troll's height and size creates an adult to child ratio which is important in communicating the distribution of power.

One Small Step For Animation, One GIANT LEAP for Draco

Draco is ALIIIIVEEEE! Draco's first steps- it's rough but designed to test out the movement capabilities of the character design and establish a sense of weight. I like the idea of a contra posto twist in his body as he walks and his tail swings side to side. Its a first step....more to come.
